KIDS LIFE PRAYER WORKSHOP: 1st Grade Students & Parents

During this workshop, we will focus on the importance of prayer in our homes. We will learn creative ways to make prayer an exciting part of our daily routine.

This workshop is for 1st graders and their parents. It will be held during the 9 & 10:45 AM services at Salem Campus. Every child must have at least one parent with them to participate in the workshop.

MARRIAGE CLASS

Start your marriage off right! We want to equip couples for a successful marriage by providing premarital counseling. If you are planning a wedding within the next 12-18 months, we invite you to attend this class where you will receive valuable advice on issues such as compatibility, money, intimacy, in-laws, communication, and spirituality.

This class is designed specifically for children ages 6-12 and will help children and parents understand and answer the following questions. 

• What does it mean to say you are a Christian?

• What is Baptism?

• What is the Lord’s Supper?

• What is the local church and its role in helping people know Christ as their Savior?

• What do I do now that I am a Christian? 

Children, and their parent(s), will have the opportunity to participate in fun, age-appropriate lessons that will initiate engaging conversations with peers and other parents, play games together, and complete daily Bible readings together.

PITTSBURGH, PA MISSION TRIP | JULY 12-19, 2025

We will take an intergenerational team to support Travelers Church in Pittsburgh, PA, as they host a VBS for their community. The VBS runs Monday-Friday, in the morning hours. There will be opportunities for smaller projects in the afternoon, such as cleaning, repairing, and improving church facilities. Josh Horne and Cathy Noell will serve as co-leaders for the trip.

A Prom Experience For Individuals With Special Needs

Night to Shine is an annual prom night for teens and adults with special needs, ages 14+. This event is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and is dedicated to giving individuals with special needs a night where they can shine and know that God loves them for who they are!

Events begin with an optional hair, makeup, and shoe shine, starting at 3 PM. Dinner times will be at 4:30 PM or 5:30 PM ( your choice). Limo rides will begin around 5:30 PM and take people to the dance, lasting from 6-9 PM.

Do you know your spiritual gifts and how to use them for the kingdom of God? This class explores what the Bible says about the gifts God has given to every believer in Jesus. You will learn how God has wired you as a servant and how to discover where you can put those gifts into practice.

11 Week Course on Wednesdays, Beginning January 29

An 11 week course, taught by Jake Preston, that covers the basic orthodox beliefs of Christianity. The goal of this class is to equip disciples to understand, explain, and apply the basic confessions of the Christian faith.

Join us for an Institute Forum hosted by Jake Preston on January 26. Our guest speaker is Joel Muddamalle, Director of Theology and Research at Proverbs 31 Ministries. He will lead a discussion on Theology of the Church: What is it? Why is it essential? What part do Christians play in advancing the kingdom?

Forums are one-time gatherings that provide an opportunity for the whole church to be trained in an essential area of discipleship.

We will be working with our Ministry Partner in Zambia to host an evangelism and bible teaching conference in the village of Mawawa. In addition, there will be a VBS for the children.

We will be sleeping in tents and there is no running water or electricity. This trip is for ages 18+, unless accompanied by a parent or close relative.

The Blue Ridge Women's Center is distributing and collecting baby bottles in January to support their services to women in crisis pregnancies. Enjoy festive Christmas music with John in the Worship Center, get creative with family crafts, and gather around the firepit for s’mores under the stars. Plus, we’ll have hot chocolate and cider to keep you cozy.

We can’t wait to celebrate with our North Campus family!

Unlimited Kids Night is for children with special needs and their siblings, ages 5-17. Pre-registration is required for each event and an information packet must be completed for each child prior to attending.

Children have a blast enjoying games, snacks, Bible stories, crafts, etc., while parents get to enjoy an evening to themselves.
